• The Big Thicket Association is sponsoring the All Taxa Biological Inventory (ATBI) in partnership with the Big Thicket National Preserve.
  
  
• The BTA helps with fund-raising and organization of groups and individuals working on the project.

• The ATBI depends on volunteers who donate their time and expertise.
• Every spring, orientation sessions introduce new volunteers to the ATBI.
• Volunteer team leaders help BTA staff coordinate the efforts of each team.

Events of 2010

• A wide variety of ATBI events take place each year providing opportunities for scientists and the public to participate in events such as Bio-Quests.

• BTA has received grants and other financial support from these foundations, organizations, and partners.

• BTA greatly appreciates the support of private citizens and companies who make monetary and in-kind donations to support ATBI research and related educational programs.

Science Conference

• The Big Thicket Science Conference has been held in 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2007. The latest meeting in 2007 was held at the Holiday Inn Plaza, Beaumont, Texas, March 22-25, with field trips to Cooks Lake, Rush Creek, and the new "Canyonlands" area.
