- Scientists' Requests - Every year
scientists visit the Preserve to collect specimens using a variety of methods. The scientists require
able volunteers to assist them in collecting specimens, recording data, working with them in the
lab, and other important tasks.
- Science/Taxonomy - Assist with trail surveys, sorting specimens, special collecting
efforts, computer maps.
- Photography - Photos or drawings of each species or of scientists at work
to use on our web pages and for education projects.
- Education & Outreach - Assist school teachers and Park staff with educational
programs about biodiversity.
- Host/Hospitality - Host a scientist
in your home.
- Communications - Work with staff on promotional materials, the web site and office
databases.
- Development - Help with special events, fundraiser's and host house parties, receptions
and other activities.
- Community Relations/Publicity - Get the word out about the Thicket of Diversity. Tend booths at community events and professional meetings. Assist with media contacts and reporting.
