Researcher Program at BITH-Realzola

Researcher Ed Realzola will present a program in the Visitor Center auditorium at 11am on Thursday, January 4, 2018, on his work in the preserve, the research process, and what his work and that of other researchers tells us about biodiversity in the Big Thicket. Approximate time is 30 to 45 minutes.

Rice University Students Conduct Big Thicket Bio-blitz

Scott Solomon, Ph.D., Rice University, brought his biology class to Big Thicket for the purpose of conducting a short and intense inventory of the Turkey Creek Unit. This is the second year Solomon has conducted a biology class bio-blitz and findings are being posted on iNaturalist.org.
